Meadow Fescue x Italian Ryegrass

PAULITA is tetraploid and with "Italian" appearance, but with better persistence. Winterhardiness is also relatively good due to the meadow fescue parents.

Ideal Partner in Mixtures

The yield of PAULITA is very high and with high content of sugar (water soluble carbohydrates). Paulita has in official Finnish trials yielded almost 16 tonnes of drymatter per hectare - more than 50% over meadow fescue.

PAULITA is best used for silage in mixtures with other grasses like perennial ryegrass, meadow fescue, timothy or festulolium of tall fescue type, and red clover. In such mixtures, PAULITA brings high yield and high forage quality.

All over Scandinavia PAULITA is by far out yielding local varieties of meadow fescue - not only in 1st year, but also year 2 and 3.
